It is my privilege to introduce you to Healing for Haiti Ministries. Healing for Haiti is a faith-based ministry co-sponsored by Faith Baptist Church, Hamilton Square, NJ. This effort was started in February 2009 by Timothy Snyder, its founder, and has caused considerable excitement among those who have an interest in helping people in the poorest country in our hemisphere.

It is our objective to provide quality Medical care to the village of Jonc Dodin, a remote area of Haiti where there is no potable drinking water, no electricity, no sewage treatment plants, and no medical treatment available. It is a place where 99 out of every 1000 children will die before the age of 5 years old from treatable causes. Hypertension, asthma, stroke, and infectious diseases run rampant. It is a place where routine pharmaceuticals for common medical disorders is non-existent. It is a place where the unthinkable has happened that will add to the pain and suffering for years to come, the EARTHQUAKE of January 12, 2010.

Much has been accomplished to date. Five acres have been purchased which will serve as the site for our new clinic. This property has already been walled off and gated for security purposes. Presently, a well is being drilled, complete with a water purification system that will service the clinic and the nearby village.
